That is why there is nothing wrong, as far as Islam is concerned, in hanging posters with Qur’anic calligraphy on the walls of one’s home as long as those posters are treated with respect. … It is in this spirit that the Muslim Ummah has tolerated and even encouraged such practices.
Islamic calligraphy can be applied to a wide range of decorative mediums other than paper, such as tiles, vessels, carpets, and stone. Before the advent of paper, papyrus and parchment were used for writing. During the 9th century, an influx of paper from China revolutionized calligraphy.

The first thing I do upon receiving your custom message or illustration request is to create a draft of the design and determine how to best integrate it with the product to be engraved. This step is important as it sets the tone for the remainder of the project, and ensures that the end product is well balanced based on its shape, colours, and any other existing decorations (e.g. labels). The calligraphy or illustration of your choice is then carefully engraved free-hand using a hand-held micros motor drill. This handy tool allows me to work freely within my own home studio as well as on-site, with no need for an outlet. After the engraving is completed, the design can be filled with various metallic wax finishes. The 5 colours I have available include: Antique Gold, Grecian Gold, Autumn Gold, Spanish Copper and Silver Leaf. Metallic wax finishes are only ideal for display products, and not glassware that will be heavily used and washed.
The micro motor drill is extremely portable and user friendly compared to many other larger engraving equipments out there. The drill will produce a bit of noise and very fine dust during the engraving process, however, it is not extremely loud or obtrusive by any means.
Yes, there are some carbonated bottles that should be avoided as engraving the surface of these bottles may compromise the structural integrity of the product and risk exploding. Be sure to inquire or double check with me before starting, to make sure the bottle is safe to engrave.
Edward Johnston The modern revival of calligraphy began at the end of the 19th century, influenced by the aesthetics and philosophy of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement. Edward Johnston is regarded as being the father of modern calligraphy.

THE CANVAS The two most common canvases used as a support for oil painting are cotton and linen, with linen being the more expensive.
